A Facebook spokesperson commented on the changes to the layout for pages on mobile:
This new look and feel makes it easier
for a business’ current and potential customers to interact with a page
in a way that’s tailored to mobile use. The interface is streamlined and
action-oriented, with relevant business details and ways to interact
(including Like, Call, Message, Share) where people look first – at the
top of the page. Page owners can now include pinned posts near the top
of the Page to highlight important content, and keep them highlighted.
